Online consultations for new cards are no longer allowed due to changes in Arkansas law. 

Online appointments are not allowed under Arkansas State Law for first-time card consultations. They are only allowed for renewing cardholders with their established care provider

We are currently looking for local in-state Arkansas physicians to see clients weekly for in-person consultations. Until we are locally staffed, we are available to help you navigate questions about the law by phone or contacting us through our website.

It is our hope that the law related to telemedicine becomes clarified. 

Why can’t I use telemedicine as a new patient?

Arkansas State Law currently says telemedicine can only be done for renewal patients with a physician with whom a bona fide doctor-patient relationship has been established.

What This Means:

Telemedicine cannot be used for first time patients.

How Do I Get My Medical Marijuana Card in Arkansas?

1. Book your appointment with Alternative Wellness online or call us to schedule. We offer convenient scheduling options to help fit your schedule and some appointments can be booked for the same day. (Based on availability)
2. Have your online consultation with one of our licensed Arkansas Physicians. Meeting with our doctors is easy and convenient with Alternative Wellness’ HIPAA-compliant, virtual appointments!
3. Receive your Medical Cannabis Certification - Once approved, our physician will issue your certifications for your Arkansas Medical Marijuana Card.
4. Submit Your Certification to the Arkansas Department of Health - If you are a NEW ONLINE PATIENT, please click the Patient Registration button, and follow the instructions here.

Allow 14 days for processing from the date submitted.  

Your card is good for one year from its issue date.
